​Located in central Bougainville, the Panguna Project is one of the region’s most significant large-scale redevelopment initiatives. Historically managed by international operators, the site played an important role in regional industry before operations were suspended.
Today, the Autonomous Bougainville Government (ABG) is prioritizing the redevelopment of this area as part of its national reconstruction plan. The goal is to transform the region’s underutilized assets into sustainable drivers of economic growth, attract new investment, and build a foundation for long-term self-reliance.
Ocher Bridge Limited has been appointed as the official program funding and management partner for this initiative.
Our responsibilities include:

• Capital Structuring & Investor Engagement – Designing investment frameworks and supporting global institutional partnerships.
• Program Oversight – Managing project lifecycles with transparency, accountability, and compliance with regulations.
• Stakeholder Coordination – Building alignment between the Bougainville Government, local communities, and international partners.
• Sustainability & Community Integration – Ensuring that development benefits are shared locally while adhering to global standards of environmental and social responsibility.

The Panguna Project represents a cornerstone of Bougainville’s national reconstruction strategy and a flagship program under Ocher Bridge’s management.

​The Kokoda Project, located in the Tonolei area of southern Bougainville, is an early-stage community development and resource program designed to strengthen local participation and create pathways for long-term growth. While not yet positioned as a large-scale industrial initiative, early assessments have shown strong potential for supporting small-scale operations that can contribute to Bougainville’s sustainable economic development.
